We are looking to add a young and energetic individual (m/f) to the CyanoGuard Team! Our technology aims to improve healthcare, public health, and food and water safety globally with easy-to-use rapid field tests for toxins. CyanoGuard is a university spin-off started by members of the University of Zurich (UZH) Institute for Chemistry.

This opportunity will give you the chance to support different business functions from the ground up and make an impact on a high-profile technology spin-off as one of the first employees of the company. You will significantly grow your skill set and take on substantial responsibility for a number of company functions. You will work directly with our CEO and learn how to lead the marketing and PR with him. You will be involved in organizing business trips, trade fairs, business meetings, road shows and client visits around the world. Besides working in an innovative and inspiring atmosphere at the interface between cutting edge research and high-tech business, we welcome the open sharing of ideas. Depending on qualification and performance, this position offers the chance to get a fixed contract. 

Your tasks:
- Work across multiple work functions, including online marketing, PR and market research
- Manage communications with partners/clients/investors
- Manage our CRM, PR and social media presence
- Prepare market research and business reports
- Contribute to marketings, sales and investor materials through the development of company presentations

Your profile:
- Master or Bachelor in Marketing, Sales or Business Administration
- Previous working experience would be a huge plus
- Experience working with or for a start-up is a strong plus
- Interested in high-tech and life sciences
- Risk taker with intellectual curiosity and natural persistence for overcoming obstacles
- Ability to learn quickly and master complex challenges
- Self-starter who requires minimal oversight, has an innate attention to detail and can work independently
- Ability to secure EU/EFTA work permit and live in/relocate to Zurich, Switzerland

Your skills:
- Excellent English, plus good command of another language in addition to your mother tongue; German knowledge is a plus
- Proficiency in MS Office (esp. Excel/Power Point)
- Outstanding numerical and analytical skills
- Excellent interpersonal communication and pitching skills
- Good to have: Operational knowledge of Adobe Illustrator/InDesign, Experience in CMS (i.e. WordPress/Webflow), Social Media Management, Programming & Database Management
